Daniel Kikuo Ichinose was born on March 17th 1912 in Honolulu. He was Yoshigoro and Tome’s 8th child.
Daniel attended Moiliili School in the early 1920’s.
In 1934 Daniel played in the Japanese Senior Baseball League on a team called the Moiliini’s.
Daniel was also involved in boxing matches lightweight division. In a March 1st 1936 article Daniel defeated John Repedo. Also on March 20th 1936 Daniel scored a knockout against Eugene Strohlin.
An August 6th 1936 Article states that the Japanese-American Athletic Association will expand into football and says that Dan Ichinose, a star guard with the Kakaako wildcat, will coach the squad with Sad Sam being the manager.

In a march 1937 article Daniel is listed as a member of the Palolo Japanese golf club and does fairly well as another article dated March 15th 1937 says he wins the March Ace tourney. Several of Dan’s brothers are also members.

In a June 16th 1939 article it says the gossip is that Daniel Ichinose, a former sports boss at the Hawaiian Hochi, is now a jewelry salesman.
1939, November 26th newspaper article is about the opening of Uptown Jewelers by Daniel and assisted by Harriet Ichinose (Eugene’s wife).
In June 1940 an Article states Daniel is playing for the Paradise Softball League on team Uptown Jewelry.
July 1940 Daniel is still doing well in golf as he medaled in a tourney at Palolo.
September 1940 shows that Daniel is managing a girls softball team in the Hawaiian women’s league.
February 1941 Daniel is still playing baseball.
March 1941 Daniel married miss Ishiko (Katherine) Yanagi
November 28th 1942 article shows Daniel as the sales manager at Uptown Jewelers
April 30th 1943 Co-Partnership notice in the newspaper that on April 1st 1943 Harriet Chieko Ichinose and Katherine Ishiko Ichinose were admitted into the co-partnership firm of Uptown Jewelers of which Dan K Ichinose and Eugene T Ichinose are the other two partners.
August 1946 Daniel is still playing golf in tourneys.
March 31st 1947 Daniel wins the Mac Matsuda trophy in the Honolulu golf club tourney.

In the 1950 Federal Census Danile is shown with wife Katherine, children: 8 year old Ruby, 6 year old Craig, 5 year old Nerissa and 4 year old Audrey along with Dan;s sister Takiko.

In a July 28 1957 Article it states that Daniel is an employee of Occidental Life Insurance Co. and is one of 36 local employees that received an award. The article states that of the over 200,000 life insurance agents in the United States only 14,000 qualified for the 1957 Quality Award of the National Association of Life Underwriters.
August 26, 1958 Daniel is named Man of the Month for July. Daniel has been with Occidental for 5 years.
June 16,1963 Daniel is named Occidental man of the month for May.
August 1965 Danile has been awarded national honors for quality at Occidental
August 1967 Daniel is awarded the National Sales Achievement Award
On May 19th 1968 Daniel finally realized a golfers dream with a hole in one at Leilehua #17 150-yard hole with a 6 iron.
1970 Daniel is working for Fred Rohlfing election campaign.
October 1970 Daniel is named Man of the Month at Occidental.
